  2. When I was in highschool many years ago (early '70's), there was a change room/shower block next to the assembly hall. Whenever we had PE we'd get changed do whatever exercises the teacher had planned for us, return strip down grab your towel and go into the communal shower naked. Not getting undressed and not showering was not an option, only way not to do PE was an exemption sort by the parents. Exemptions were very rare back then, if you did get an exemption it meant an extra lesson of maths. Which was a hated lesson back then, exept by the brainiacs.
