  1. I believe There are some nice truck stops on the east coast of Australia, but head west across the Nullarbor a lot of the Roadhouses/truck stops are at least 40 year-old structures. The truck stop areas are mostly gravel, the Roadhouses usually have concrete pads by the pumps but everything else is old worn asphalt and gravel. It's also a two lane highway (one lane each way and no divider), pretty much from Perth to the east coast.

  2. Your rest areas sound plush compared to Australia, here it's a deviation off the main highway probably enough room to park 6 to 8 road trains, asphalt maybe one or two Enviro toilets and a couple of rubbish bins
