  1. You can get different kinds of cold across Australia, I remember going to see my sister about 15 years ago, who lived across the border from Canberra in NSW. I stayed in an 1800's hotel the weather was like 3 degrees below zero, I was outside wearing sneakers, a tee shirt, jeans and a hoodie. It was cold but it wasn't freezing, I came home to Adelaide a week later it was 8 degrees pouring with rain. It was bone chilling freezing no matter how many layers of clothing I put on couldn't get warm. The difference was that my sister lived up in the mountains around Canberra and I was near the coast in Adelaide, the wind near my sister was coming off the mountains, the wind near my place was coming from the Antarctic.

Think when the Sydney Opera house was built, it had an interior designed for it but the government being government didn't like how much it was going to cost so put a cheaper interior in and yes the acoustics were a bit average. Some decades later when they renovated the building, they replaced the interior with the one that was designed for it. Completely changed the acoustics of the building.

  3. Well in Australia the beer tax is 42% and wine tax is 29% on the wholesale price for wine, not if the beer tax is wholesale or retail.
