  1. Interesting thing ian the US almost had polymer banknotes, but bless the US government wanted the notes but wanted Australia to sell the the rights to the technology to the US(typical). Australia was only prepared to licence the technology like it has done to many other countries, the US wanted to own the rights to it and charge everyone else to use it. So that's why the US is still using 200 year old technology and one of the easiest to conterfeit.
