  1. Also the US and the UK were far less prepared for a large amphibious invasion of France in 1942. Take a look at Dieppe.

  2.  @Anthony-jo7up  Well you have to have trained men , ships, amphibious landing craft and the ability to supply all the troops. I don't see this in1942 for the Allies.
