  1. The differences were huge. IN 1942 the Germana produced 9,200 tanks, 15,409 planes , 1200 artillery. The USSR produced 24,446 tanks, 25,436 planes and 49,100 artillery. Manpowerat this time was approx. 2 to 1 in favor of the USSR.

  4. There were no troops available on the Eastern front to draw on cause of the offensive against Army Group Center (operation Mars. I don't know if there was sufficient time to get reinforcements from France for the relief attempt.

  11.  @lucasdamotta  The Germans thought they would defeat the Soviets in 6 to 8 weeks. Therefore no winter operations and no oncern for logistics and the needed supplies.
