  2. Actually that was truer at the beginning of the war. Later on from late 1943 on Stalin did begin to defer to his generals in military matters but of course he expected success.

  3.  @thelexkex  I did not say anything regarding Stalin's tyranny I just pointed out he was willing to listen to his generals and willing to defer to their opinions and they could disagree with him..
