However they soon learned that the Nazis were likely to kill them and certainly stole their food and oppressed them. That's why the Partisan movement grew larger and larger throughout the war.

  4. It is a what if question and an unlikely situation. Japan already had a bloody nose at Kahlkin Gol from the Soviet army. The Japanese were looking for rubber, oil ,tin and other raw materials none of which was available to them in Siberia. They were already deeply involved in China. Attacking the USSR was not an option.
