  1. I have heard that the Germans used captured weapons when available but when the artillary piece ran out of captured shells or the tank needed repair they just abandoned them .

  2.  @annadalassena5460  Thanks for the info. Maybe they meant in combat situations and they could not get further shells for the guns or spare parts for theforeign tanks they would abandon them or possibly they were more likely to abandon trucks rather than fighting vehicles.
