I am surprised by the positive ratings the Germans gave the Italian fighters. I know their artillery and tanks were rated low. Does anyone know why they were able to build a really good fighter and poor tanks and artillery. Was it better engineering for the planes or couldn't Italy handle heavy steel construction or what?
