One of his most outlandish claims is that Abraham Lincoln had a secret third eye concealed under his stovepipe hat, that it had psychic powers, and that he used it to hypnotize his opponent for the 1860 election into publicly declaring that he would "raise taxes... sky-high" if elected to the presidency.
