  1. Well, he didn't rig elections and have opponents killed--just locked up and caned, or if not that, he sued their pants off. Plus he enforced religious and racial toleration (aside from gays and Jehova's Witnesses) and made drug smuggling a capital crime. But I agree that he deserves his own video.

  2.  @ReydelCiguay  Exactly. Trujillo was a RULER, not a leader. What's the difference? Well, a ruler keeps those beneath them in a constant state of division, ensuring that they can never amass a considerable power base because they have to split their attention between squabbling amongst themselves and pleasing the ruler to avoid execution; a leader unites everyone beneath them towards a common goal they can all agree is beneficial, with everyone putting their personal ambitions aside in favor of that goal until it is all they can think about, and they will not hesitate to work together towards that goal because it means that much. To divide and rule, a sounds motto; to unite and lead, a better one.
