Zachary Taylor, please. He was a slave-owner who accepted that the institution was gonna be voted out eventually and fought any and all attempts to forestall or outright prevent that inevitability, even declaring he would hang every secessionist there is, starting with his son-in-law (some guy named Jeff). It was rumored that they had him poisoned so his candy-ass VP could take over and kiss their asses, but examinations of the remains showed no signs of poison.
