  7.  @jacquesstrapp3219  Says the person engaging in being an arm chair general. You do realise the legal constraints a SMO entails? They cannot just attack any old position like we did in Gulf War II during the shock and awe phase. Ruskies have being fighting with one hand tied behind their backs by the optics minded Putin. Plus most of the actual fighting has being done either by Wagner, DPR/LPR militia or Chechnyans. RF is basically providing artillery and missile support. But muh Russian forces are doing sooo badly. Now, how many nations have assisted in Ukraine's defense? Be it via mercs (naughty if you ask me), via lethal military aid and or financial aid? Let's say a nice round 50. Russia meanwhile? Barring a drone deal with Iran I aint exactly seeing anything other than diplomatic support from Brics economies and some sane western politicians. Although the recent flex by the Belarusian Defense Ministry re 500k reservists paints an interesting picture going forward. Anyway. Logistics issues? Big whoop, I'm currently rereading Stalingrad by Antony Beevor. I would swear the Russians do best under pressure. Besides, until the Kerch bridge bombing I do not for one second accept Russia faced significant logistics issues, more so once it withdrew from Northern Ukraine to focus on the Donbas and Mariupol. To add to that the further the AFU advances the longer their logistics lines become longer and the shorter the Russians. So it logically does not add up that Russia will be facing worse logistics issues than it's adversary. Be interesting to see how the autumn rains work out for both sides. Advantage defender imo and right now AFU is on the offense whereas RF is on the defense. It's almost strategic thinking vs tactical thinking or something. On top of that the Ruskies, despite that famous 10 days of ammo MSM nonsense, have had no issues in raining shells and small arms fire on the AFU. Regional issues? Welll they just got to annex between 15 and 20% of Ukraines landmass off the back of a referendum so not sure what you mean unless Kharkiv region. In that case, the term punching thin air aprings to mind. It cost AFU how much to capture that area Vs what? Photos of military hardware? Not much of a win imo. Maintenance? You ever tried maintaining western over designed shite in da field as opposed to ex Warsaw/USSR/Russian stuff? I aint but I do have examples of both sides in ww2 and messed around with more modern items a couple times. The slav jank just works. Hell if anything the latest AK iteration is stepping away from the foundational premise of the AK. Anyone can shoot it and anyone can maintain it. So maybe you have a point there but I still would wager the hodge podge AFU army has much worse maintenance issues than RF. They have everything from 1950s era tanks to captured T-90s for example. And some want to give them NATO produced tanks? Asking for trouble there. I'm a professional chef BTW :P You want the best steak you've ever had? Get me to cook it for you.
