Alienware! You disappoint me Styx. I mean, it has an intel inside and Intel have a rather interesting piezoelectric powered chipset embedded on all their architecture which can send and receive data packets even when the device itself is powered off. If you care about privacy you don't want want an intel inside is what I;m saying.

@ruiqiu866 AMD for your CPU. You'll still have to connect to 'the internet of things' but at least it's that bit harder for da man to spy on you thanks to their being one less back door for them to use.

@libertyprime69 Good question but when this issue came to light even Google asked Intel what was up and they were like. Oh that old thing, it's just redundant technology that we - a money hungry corporation - did not remove from any of our chips. Yeah. Right. But anyway, I imagine it was just a way to get into peoples' computers before the internet took off and Intel got a wedge of cash from the NSA/GCHQs of the world to put that chipset in their tech.
