  3. Told my mam this very thing last night when she asked what was going on with Ukraine and Russia. Same thing with Boris Johnson who is hot water over a hypocritical Xmas party in Downing Street while us peons were told no social gatherings. He is facing considerable pressure to resign and his backbenchers are out to oust him. Anyway. Once I explained have we already forgotten Iraq, Afghanistan,Libya and Syria so soon? She very quickly balked at what was being said on the TV by the talking heads calling for boots on ground, severe consequences, evil Russia etc etc. Then I talked about how certain spook agencies had assets on the ground in Ukraine back in 2015 when there were mass student protests that ousted the then pro Russia president. Replaced by a NATO sympathetic gov who were basically bribed into accepting installing a missile defense system which undermines the principles of MAD. By that point she just said I'm glad I'll be dead in the next ten years. The world has gone mad. Bless her.
