  1. There's not many good things being British these days but we don't really have to worry about natural disasters. That said I still have mess tins, canned food,camping stoves, glowsticks etc etc. Came in handy that time I moved out and once in my new place I discovered the previous tenant had gotten the gas and electric disconnected. By the time I had emptied the moving van my phone was dead, it was 4:45pm on a Friday and I was due to do 2 12 hour shifts the next 2 days. Well I pulled out some tomato soup, snapped a glow stick and read a book. Then I ordered takeaway cos sod it lol.
