  1. Well played sir. I myself avoided the debt trap of higher education here in the UK however I foolishly allowed myself to garner some debt in 2019 and then during the 2020 period that cannot be named I was not paid right by employer so picked up more debt. 2023 has been a year where I quit a decade long job over being dicked around RE head chef role and was offered the head chef position in a new place within a week. That is when current one retires. So basically I am still on burger flipping wages and owe about 7.5 K (£) on 2 credit cards. It was at 9k at the start of the year so heading in the right direction. And in a little more than a year I will slightly more than double my earnings by doing something I’ve already done but mot being paid for in another place. No social life to speak of beyond a 1 monthly BBQ, beer and herb with a group of cycle mates but there’s a roof over my head, I’m gainfully employed with prospects and paying down my debt. Better than most of my millennial generation so I’ve done something right even if I’m 35 and still thoroughly single without kiddos. Much to my mothers eternal chargrin, I’m the youngest of three and her last hope for biological grand kids lol. I’d love to but A, finding someone you can actually ride the ups and downs of life without the need for lawyers and B, dat cost. Yikes. Amma pay off my debt first.
