Alright, I am genuinely impressed now and I have worked in a kitchen for some 7 years now. Only a Bong kitchen but hey, as I often say to people. I am more of a chef in more own time than I am at work. Huzzar! I can make a mean sweet and sour sauce and does not even need pineapple sauce. Ketchup, cidar vinegar, cornflour, brown/demerera sugar, soy suace and my personal addition to a brilliantly easy recipe. Good ole Worchestershire sauce. It's bloody great and can easily be balanced towards sweet over sour or vice versa depending on taste.

My professional side is internally bombing as Styx uses a metal on metal utensil and then just dumps it on the work surface. REEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Come on mannn, use a bowl or something ya messy bugger:P

Glad you added the caveat about the wet rice. That would be far to glooby for me due to all the starches that will have pooled in the excess liquid. Heres another easy tip. Take twelve cups water and bring to the boil, add salt (dont add salt first as it slows the heating process leading to needless gas/electric bills), and then add two cups of brown rice. Yes, brown rice. Peps think it takes ages to cook and is more difficult but nope. So. Allow to simmer for 30 minutes and then dump contents into a colliander. Shake and rinse with boiling water. Dump contents back into pan and cover with lid for ten minutes. Voila, lovely fluffly and nutty but non starchy rice in 40 minutes. And much better than that shite they have to fortify with vitamins an minerals to even be sold as food aka white/basmati rice. EDIT. 2 cups of brown rice yields 4 portions for me but I am a large portion 6 ft 2 kinda guy so for a family you could easily get 6 portions out of it imo.
