Not so sure about that. I’m British and the difference in news reporting here is stark. Previously it was all Trump rushed off stage after loud sounds. Now it’s Trump rushed to safety after gunshots heard in vicinity. I work in a pub and every TV was displaying it and people were talking about it.

@Liethen hold the fudge up. Why am I, as an eternal Anglo, only just hearing about this? I know William Wallace was a double agent whom helped sell Scotland out to Westminster only to lose himself to that very plot but this thing about De Gaulle is news to me.

MFW amma filthy bong who finished work at his wage cage pub job as a head chef, onna Sunday (so Sunday dinner service which is big in Bongland) and I take one look at the front of house TV and declare. “Wot, they tried to kill Trump again?” At which point most people drinking said wait what, this is a new attempt to assassinate Trump? I thought the TV was on about the one a while back. To which I said, nope. This is a new one by the looks of it. Even here across the pond, everyday people are starting to view Trump as a champ with a target on him, even if they don’t like him. Gonna be interesting to see the polls after this.
