  2. People keep on saying that the Earth rides on the back of a giant turtle but I find this disrespectful to the four elephants doing the real leg work of supporting the Discworld.

  3. As a related aside I always did wonder what if those elephants had to eliminate bodily wastes in which case A, Pratchett missed a trick. B, This could explain Discquakes and indeed. C, imagine a giant elephant cocking a leg before taking a piss the likes of which Niagara Falls could not comprehend. Then imagine the rainbow it would cause along with all the various cults, religions and purported miracles associated with such an event and boom. We have as un yet explored cannon of the Discworld we can only assume will involve the ever bumbling Rincewind, a box on hundreds of little legs, as well as various associated narrativium inspired tangents and of course; a Librarian that can only be appeased with bananas... Oh gawd I miss Pratchett in his prime.
