@fenneckyfasty9440 kinda missing the point I think and I have being diagnosed with clinical depression and spent 4 years in psychodynamic therapy. Doubt I’d have ever ended up there if I was more concerned about physical needs as opposed to first world needs. Plus I found, as someone who had a pretty shitty childhood, teenage years and you g adulthood, that there are some who wear the label of depression like a fashion trend. I would also argue current attitudes towards mental health problems encourages the narcissists amongst us to abuse the system and indeed makes people conflate being a bit down with a serious medical diagnoses like clinical depression. Most people really do just need to pick up a new hobby, go for a walk in the sun etc when they feel down.
