I did however enjoy watching Trump cause yet another il-liberal meltdown when he pulled out and I doubly enjoyed arguing down uninformed eejits on my side of the pond when they attempted to grandstand about Trump's Murica in various comment sections.   2. I dunno. When I looked into it I came away with a sense that the pacific ocean is more than capable of scrubbing that nastiness out for the most part. Well, the more easily scrubbed stuff anyway. The other stuff being so atomically heavy however it will lay itself into sedimentary layers and then become rock over time so yeah. The alleged containment of Fukushima is no were near as good as the company behind it claims but I also think claims that the Pacific is fooked on the basis of Fukushima alone is exaggeration. All IMO mind and I am happy, well accepting given the subject matter, to be proven wrong on this. Za vas paschim Likuidator CNPP! (That place is a veritable oasis of wild life these days, despite scientific expectations.)

  3. Oh for feck sake. The last time I checked one dude came up with a technique that could de-litter the surface levels of the ocean in but a few years with a flotilla of surface skimming craft. He had proved the concept on the small scale and was fundraising for the full blown operation. That was some 5 years ago and here we are with collectivists using this issue to push their dogma. I do not want to live in a dirty world but nor do I want to Big Government making things worse than they are already are and all so they can virtue signal for votes to keep earning a cheque at the end of the month. PS. Hemp based plastics. Why are they not used? For the same reason the timber barons of the early 19th century did not want the competition so they linked hemp with weed and demonised the latter so the former would be doomed to regulatory annihilation.
