Most people still don’t know about Windscale which was very much almost Britain's Chernobyl long before Chernobyl was even built. To think that situation was avoided mainly thanks to one of the engineers climbing the coolant stack and manually aiming a hose pipe down it to cool the reactor. Just imagine how much containment he breathed in… They don’t make ‘em like they used to as my mam would say.

I personally thought the Brother Moons were like eldritch turtles in that the outer shell was legit a moon or of such a composition but which houses a fleshy parasite inside. Maybe an anomalous layer of lead could shield the interior from scanning technology of all but the most advanced life.

Oh it gets wrose. Hey Kyle, care to show me the scientific studies that prove the efficacy of double ply cotton mask in preventing transmission? Masks that cannot filter below 300 nano meter, are not used properly (worn too long, handled inmappropraitely and not cleaned properly annnnd they increase chances of hypercapnia and bacterial pnuemonia) and even have on the packaging, this is not a respirator and will not protect you from viruses. If it's not n95 rated it is not viable as a means of protection from infection. The only thing they do is capture mucus encased RNA. So yes, they are good for containing coughs and sneezes but get this, coughgin or sneezing into the crook of your arm provides much the same results. And if you hold your fingers up to sides of the mask and breath out you'll feel air movement. Guess what that means folks, the masks do literally jack shit other than show a sheep like conformity to questionable claims. 'memeber when the powers that be told you masks are useless, don't you dare go out and buyt them? Well if you are the propagandised kind of person that thinks if only we all wore masks then there would be no pandemic then guess what. It's the fault of the CDC and WHO that we are where we are then. @bobmight4946 What isn't? Covid or the response to it. As one of them is quite the big deal to all of us and one of them is only of concern to a specific cross section of society. The same cross section that has to worry about colds and flus due to commorbidity issues.

I propose something a 'lil different to the Fermi Paradox. One that I may have already being culturally exposed but can't summon the member berries. But regardless, yes the Universe is pretty dang hostile and empty except to us thanks to things like the Cosmic Filter but we have the chance to be lifeform that seeds the universe with life. I'm to broke to afford the full price DS remaster but back in the day did I make DS my term for female dog tthat is frowned upon in this context. Ironman? Too easy. So I imposed a rule of no medpacks allowed, you could hoard them to sell but you cannot use them. That leaves you with 4 chances to heal via the RIG suit health upgrades. So it introduces a meta gameplay of do I accept a staggering Issac for most of the early game cos I that one Necro slashed me so I have 4 more heals for most of the game. Or upgrade early to be a bit more tanky for the inevitable blunder down the road. So yeah. Mucho looking forward to playing the remaster if only for the AI director that can spawn Necros to blindside veteran players like me. I 'member back in the day people complained that in Dead Space 2 you revisited the Ishimura. I personally thought it the highlight of the game as it caused me to fear a ship I had lost all fear of in Dead Space. So this remaster has me pretty hyped. Could we actually get Dead Space 4? After the coop and early days microtransaction nonsense of 3 killed the franchise. Will John Carpenter return to directing horror via a Dead Space film? We can but hope like we can but hope that if we do discover life out there that is either basic or benevolent.

I have an alternative theory for fossil fuels. They are not actually the result of decaying remains of life but more the result of extremophile bacteria in the phase boundary between the Earths Crust and the Mantle. Over time their excretions are compacted and desposited as layers via tectonic processes. Makes a lot more sense to me than forests, dinosaurs and animals in general being deposited as black gold. I mean forests I can see wherre people are coming from but dinosaurs? If that was true every mass extinction event on Earth would have laid down identifyiable fossil fuels of different ages but last I checked there's no Permian Extinction oil, just some claims about dinosaur oil.

I happened to stumble upon a livestream of the ZNPP being taken over by the Russians as it was happening, a plant worker live-streamed some of the CCTV. One of the more bizarre moments of my life as I sat there relaxing after work whilst watching a battle unfold in real time in the comfort of my bed. But anyway. Reason I mention it was so much disinformation that came off the back of that, the most glaring being the claim the Ruskies used artillery against the reactor and the press used a picture of an illumination flare fired into the carpark as proof. Like. Really? THat’s almost as bad as claiming the place will blow up like a nuke because the Russians made an ammo dump explode in an office building outside the perimeter of the actual reactor units where AFU forces had made a defensive position. As for Three Mile. I’m British and have known for many years that Three Mile was mythologised into more than it was. Plainly Difficult, a British YouTuber that covers industrial accidents taught me that one. I'd advocate for liquid salt thorium reactors over nuclear but I'd still take nuclear over the big con that is green energy. Yes that's right, I said big con. The very same people behind the petro dollar are behind the green energy drive. Go figure.

@aleph6707 You had to try to miss the point... Thorium reactors cannot runaway and meltdown, nuclear reactors as we have been sold can. Besdies. That opening is like me pointing out a nuclear reactor is a glorifyied steam generator. I does not matter about effiency when the REEs used to construct the solar(good stuff),wind(terrible, utterly fucking terrible) amd hydro (best at moment but environmentalists won't let you build them, make your damn mind up) tech is being strip mined from countries that have been paid to do fuck all under the Paris Accord until 2030 and said countries care little for the enviroment. Cough China cough. Right now green energy is an excuse for companies to improve their profit margins, corporations to muscle out SMEs, bolster a demographically failing china and shoe horn in a new "Bretten Woods" moment of global change. Tyranny, thine name is green energy.

@aleph6707 True, I coulda worded myself better but most people have not heardof thorium reactors so I didn't. I've been investing for 3 years now, I understand what you are saying about Chinese belated numerical investment into green tech but dude. China, or rather the CCP, is only doing what they are doing because they demographically screwed themselves with the one child policy and recent changes are not enough to reshape the age pyramid of producivity any time soon. There's a contraction looming. To compound that the CCP knows it has literally tens of millions of people growing up in cancer cities (for want of a better term). Couple hundred cities in China are on badly tainted ground. So the CCP does what it needs to do too try and save future productivity but its after the fact and imo, doomed to failure. China is a juggernaut now but soon it will be a paper tiger. Further, I happen to know that China cares very little about it's environmental impact when it strip mines vast areas of earth. It's why I actively avoid Chinese investments despite being a Precious and Base metals mining focused investor. China is currently sabre rattling against Australia (even as it dredges the ocean to build islands that it then builds military bases on...real environmentaly friendly guys) because it knows that if Oz blacklist iron ore exports to China then it's economy would grind to a halt. Shame there's not a more concerted international effort to force the CCP to clean up their act eh. So the current green energy agenda, on top of everything else I said, is bad for the planet due to dirty sources and morally bad actors using it for their means. Best way out of that is allowing the private market forces to invest direct to miners thereby enforcing a stricter critera of health and evironmental safety. Forget subsidies. Just facilitate direct to source raw materials distribution for car makers, solar p[anel makers etc and that. imo, is where the strength and potential of blockchain technologies lies. But that is an aside (in amongst a bunch lol) I mean. We've all seen the construction videos of chinese workers prodding so called structural columns and they crumble to dust. I'm sure that nation really cares about the environment beneath the surface of PR. Oh and I agree that solar and hydro should be part of current solutions but not wind. It's appalling on pretty much every level, better off improving on the floating power generators that take advatnage of tidal forces. Better and more constant gains to be chased. (Don't even get me started on nuclear power plants down river of the three gorges dam...like fucking hell China. Really? Those environmentalists may have a point after all o.0) PS. What is an earthquake? Bloody big vibrations. What are ghosts? Vibrations. Everything is vibrating. Basically I'm saying if ghosts are real they are comprised of occasionally self aware qunatum waveforms that even rarer still can manifest/interact with the generally relativistic scale of the universe. Ergo it stands to reason that natural phenomena comprised of truly massive vibrations could enhance this property that I purport to exist in the supranatural sense of human consciousnesses. Seeing is believing. I don't expect others to believe because I have seen but, well. There are some interesting arguments as to the validity , if not an afterlife, echos of the past etched in vibrations. I did not expect this angle to entertained on this channel. Much respect.

Brah, your beard needs a trim. It's all whispy towards the bottom and ruins an otherwise good look you have going. But this vid is 4 months ago so maybe it was just at that point of not being worth trimming yet. Lord knows I can let my goatee get a little out of shape cos it's just not at the point where I'm like. Yeah, gotta trim that down. Anyway. I do enjoy any video that dispels the green glow radiation trope. Personally I blame the first luminescent clocks that used rhodium paint. That's what gave birth to the popular and erroneous public perception of all things radioactive glow green. The Simpsons are just a modern manifestation of that learned trope. IMO anyway.

Well I’d like to think if I happened upon metallic objects that kicked out quite some heat, were unexpectedly heavy and had no obvious batteries or wires then I’d certainly rather go cold than cozy up to such an object on a cold noght.
