Well this is very interesting as if I accept the image portrayed my the MSM American kids dream of being YouTubers whilst Chinese kids dream of being astronoughts then why does it seem like China has very much the same issue. Seems the very epitome of fake me-centric culture that a socialite group will fake richness to school people on how to bag a celebrity. Then there's the tik tok trends that seem to put my rather foolish childhood to shame. Sure I 'member sticking 9v batteries on my tongue and laughing at the tingly sensation while my kids friends were horrified cos they said it hurt but my mam told me my step nieces 6 year kid has joined in the latest tik tok trend to put triple A batteries in your mouth and not swallow them. Ermmmm. Those 9vs were big and I may have even used old grumby ones from X friends dad's shed to show off how the tingly feeling did not bother me but sticking tiple AAAs in your gob and sucking on them? I dunno. Seems the kind of dumb that anit gonna be fun and while I anit no kid anymore I like to think I'm still in touch with my inner child. I still go. "Weeeeeee" Down big hills on my bike occasinally lol. But between Tide Bods and now battery sucking. There's a new catogery in Darwin Awards coming soon and I reckon it should be called The Tick Tock Clocks (For thee). And the winner is.... This dumb kid for sucking on a small battery and this dumb parent for not correcting the dangerous behaviour. And yes I said pretty much that to my step niece. She was cool enough to take that one on the chin and confess she probably shouldn't be letting her do that. Anyway. I 'member as a kid wondering why other people looked up to celebrities of any kind. Closest I ever got was with Arnie but meh, I looked up to the machine he played cos I wanted to be a cyborg as I was a kid. These days looking at how celebrities seem to have replaced royalty in modern society I'm glad I had no real life heros/role models. Seems wanting to be a celebrity has ruined many an everyday persons life. And the muckbang stuff? At what point do you as a fan of something decide. Do you know what this has gotten out of hand so I'm doing to stop indulging this content with my time, clicks or money? Be moral consumers of whatever it is you consume. It's not all corporations, big governments or celebrities fault afterall.

Oh dear lord.... I work inna UK pub kitchen. Words faill me to describe my level of revlusion at seeing that woman laddling sewer liquids or that chef casually pissing in a kitchen sink. Sure everyone has their problems, all countries as well. But WTF China...even the CCP is trying to stamp out gutter oil but the person on the street is just like nope. Amma make me some money from this fatty grease floating in the sewers. I guess the Mongol Hoards really did shatter the collective spirit of the Han Chinese. Or was it Mao's Great Leap Forward? Either way something went very very wrong with the Chinese cultural gestalt/zeitgiest. And then some Western politicians thought it would be a great idea to bring China into the fold and they'd liberalise as the middle class grew in tandem with the Chinese economy. Yeah. That worked out just great didn't it.

Here’s a scary thought. There are at least 13 Nuclear Power Plants down water of the 3 Gorges Dam and they are in the danger zone should that dam ever collapse. ‘Member Fukushima? Now imagine 13 of them and they are all made in China….
