Biden done goofed by revising an agreed upon timeline. “Face politics” dictated this outcome, the Taliban would not have had half the tribal support nor faced as demoralised and indeed compromised Afghan Armed Forces; had the agreed upon timeline been stuck too. Then there’s the farcical leaving behind of equipment with so,e slashed tyres and smashed dials…. At the end of the day I am entirely of the opinion that if Trump’s original timeline had been honoured then the Afghan withdrawal debacle would not have happened. Biden changed the timeline purely out of concern for domestic politics, chiefly changing the timeline meant the Biden Admin could claim Afghan withdrawal as their thing as opposed to Trump’s. But they did not factor in the aforementioned Face Politics which dominates the Middle East and Far East. Not saying The Taliban would not have moved against the Afghan government eventually.I’m saying The Taliban would have not had popular support to steam role Afghanistan before America even properly left. I mean. Do you think flying the LGTBQ+ rainbow flag, at the US embassy, mere weeks before the withdrawal fostered resentment or support among everyday Afghans? Western people and indeed their politicians need to realise not everyone views the world, or does politics, like we do.

  2. Regarding the Trump bit. Fair shout about him downplaying it but I feel it noteworthy that during Obama, Crimea happened. During Trump, nothing (militarily speaking) happened. During Biden Ukraine happened. I’m just saying those Ruskies know who to mess with and when. That hack must have informed their timelines for rolling into Ukraine at the very least and allowed them to prepare for counter measures at worst. Plus they probably sold a bunchof info to the CCP and anyone else willing to pay. Hate to say it but well played Russia. Should they have actually masterminded these hacks that is. I reckon it”s a mix of pot luck, timing and willingness.  Regarding hacks and whatnot. I personally have never suffered as A. I never click questionable links and B. I prefer older OS as I find most hacks/viruses are designed for the latest OS environment. Anyone ‘member when Apple advertised that their products don’t get hacked or suffer from viruses? That was before Mac OS environments became massively popular and people who make hacks/viruses now had better incentive to work on Mac OS specific code. Basically you can run a PC with nothing but a firewall, standard virus scan and updates very much turned off. But you really should not do that if running a business, part of the corporate world, a content creator and or celebrity etc.
