From Chef, to head of a PMC and then to exile. If nothing else Prigozhin will have one hell of a story to tell his grand children.

I am happy the American Establishment is left dissapointed.

Gotta be honest, Putin seems to have played this masterfully. I predict he will consolidate his power base and Russian society will unite behind “Putin’s Russia” like never before.

As a Brit I am disgusted by my government, hopefully the Bulgarian authorities do not bend to the western warhawks.

@OMT988 you had to try really hard to twist what Op said like that. Congratulations on a superlative display of mental gymnastics. He even said he doubted there were Russian troops in the settlement due to it not being an ideal defensive location. Ergo AFU walked in and declared they have taken the settlement without a fight. There’s a difference between capturing a position and merely retaking a position. One fights to capture, one moves in to take. As AFU losses. They well exceed that of the invader hence Ukraine being on at least it’s 7th round of conscription and mobilisation that includes demogprahics from 18 to 80. The invader meanwhile has not conscripted anyone and is on it’s second round of mobilisation purely along voluntary lines. Ukraine bleeds and for what? A compromised comedic Kleptocrat dancing to the tune of foreign powers. At least Putin is his own man. The sooner Kiev gets round a table the better for the generations of Ukrainian men currently being deleted from life.

@OMT988 What you meant to say is the Fog of War effect precludes us from knowing the true losses of each side without physically being there. I now refer you to the leaked Pentagon documents detailing Ukie losses as over 100k. What did that document say Russian losses were? Now take into account that traditionally an attacker will face larger losses than the defender and one can state objectively that the AFU is losing more men than Russia. A lot more. Also please do try and keep comments in one response, kinda makes it look like you are triggered and or trying to bury information when you post multiple times to the same commenter. You and I both know Youtube only notifies of the latest comment. As for that first response I’m hitting you with a Dunning Kruger. There are areas controlled by Russia and Ukraine but there are no troops there so all one has to do is role some troops in and boom. You have taken that position. Openness of terrain is immaterial here. But you did not capture it as there was no fight to capture the position. Not sure how Bakhmut falls into this given it was part of a strategic defensive line, nay. It was the nexus of military activity in that area of Donestk. So yeah, there was a meatgrinder of a battle to take it. Not sure what your point is about horizons, field of vision and artillery warfare in relation to capturing a position Vs taking it.

@OMT988 Koolaide drinker confirmed. "I mean reality is this. Russia is the 'Super power' yet they are in defence while a non super power is (clearly) dominating them." The reality is the non super power nation, the one so historically corrupt it was disbarred from joining the EU due to corruption, is being used as a proxy by some 50 nations, most of which are first world developed economies, and despite claims Russia will collapse for over a year now, Russia continues to win a war of attrition against it's unruly neighbour. You are using Bakhmut as a Strawman argument and even then you misunderstand what I have said about unoccupied positions and occupied postions. Bakhmut was extensively fortified let alone occupied. "I agree about the losses from attacking troops by the way, which is why it's good to see Ukraine aren't pushing hard on the front line but are doing some very good strategic strikes onto supply hubs and command structures" Demostrably unture hence Leopard 2, Bradley et al losses as they follow a mine sweeper across extensive minefields making for ripe artillery targets. So we have a situation wherein Russia faced less attrition as an invader and less attrition as a defender of conquered lands. But do tell me this shows the AFU is some how winning. If Russia does not understand the concept of a strategic target why did they take the ZNPP so early on and hold it effectively? Why have certain command nodes being Kalibrated? Where is the top General of the AFU? Been a while since he was seen ;) Footage of reused video? You must be in one helluba echo chamber as the side I see using reused footage, video game footage and pre 2022 footage is mostly AFU affiliated. Note I said mostly. Remember the Moscow Ring road photo op by Russian MoD? It's a propaganda war and I got good at seeing through them back when the West was doing their Middle East world building nonsense. You sir. Are on the wrong side of history.

Ukraine mused upon the idea of salting the earth with radiation via the ZNPP before Russia took it off them. Seems Ukraine has not given up on the idea.

@radio9730 Brah, I hate to break it to you but Wagner is not being disbanded, it is being absorbed into Russian MoD. That's circa 30k battle hardened troops. From what I understand a couple of thousand young lads insisted on following Prigozhin into Belarus and there's a question mark over if that means Wagner will not be 100% absorbed. One has to remember that Wagner has Afican operations on the go so does this mean Russia will officially take over these operations giving them an African presence? One endorsed by African nations? Regardless shall we say 20-25k experienced soldiers will soon be ready for redeployment somewhere in Ukraine. I'd be sweating if on a Northern AFU border checkpoint either way.

@radio9730 Mmmhmmm, so why didn't the officers go along with the mutiny? And why have most accepted Putin's terms? Keep on projecting meek one. "You also need to stop crying into your pillow." Leaked Pentagon Documents detailed AFU losses as what?
