  2. first Adam Smith is right, then he's wrong, and the other wanker is right, then he's wrong and the first one is right, then some totally made up shit called " insert bullshit name here" gets to fly for a while, before it is back to Adam Smith. The minute I hit reply, I will remember the name of the other wanker. This science is a crazy shit show where they make it up as they go along. No, free market economics does not work. It results in only things that are profitable existing. Forget education and aged care. Forget social equity. If we don't reign in the economic rationale, then we are terminal. Will the Humanities save us? Still waiting.

  3. If the basics tenets of economics are not wrong ie "that we are all greedy little pigs who will not take out snout out of the trough even when we have had enough", then we are screwed. This is not a science that guides mankind forward with enlightening discoveries; it just feeds us 'ceterus parabus', and insists on scarcity.Abundance has no place in this realm, it can not exist because it is worthless to economics, lest it be to frame the real action, scarcity. Economics seems totally against the working man. It comodifies him and willingly subverses him to the system. Whose side is this science on. Economists are the experts at everything because this society has been constructed by them. Nothing is done without profit to someone. This system does not provide for well-being, it exists to make more efficient the transfer of wealth to the rich. Peter Z. is the poster boy for economists being the experts at everything. Old man rant over.
