only there. only here. maybe on this planet. ... seems to me that all the magnificent stuff done by genus Homo was done by white guys with blue eyes - and with no satisfactory explanation that doesn't reek of accident - one might logically muse that a bit of stuff was added to the mix - new only in the context of earth - but clearly 'gold' genetically. A bit of a breeding program by space aliens with intentions unknown; seems a reasonable prognosis :) The first people to get a white handout?

unless it happens in a few hours aided by a giant land covering tsunami...my house is one street away from the ocean. I contemplate my response to sea level rise over the next 20 years including the building of a jetty and the opportunities presented. A tsunami triggered by a massive glacial calving event just across the ocean at Antarctica is not something i can deal with using the conventional risk mitigation hierarchy of control. As close as i can get is some shot at PPE, so i have started hoarding plastic bottles with lids. I intend to climb within my personal net of hundreds of sealed plastic bottles - a giant air bag providing buoyancy, cushioning and air to breathe. Doggerland had no plastic bottles so i would be exploiting an environmental as well as cognitive advantage.

how is it you are not concerned that 'something' like a corporation now has a copy of your genetics that they own? Down the track, some other owner of the material will copy you, or parts of you for their own purposes. ie as a neutered slave on a satellite mining outfit or maybe just a source protein for fish food? I'd be praying that reincarnation down your family linage is not actually a thing :)
