  5. one finds comfort in understanding that we likely live in a Sim. The whole thing, you, the planet and everything. The whom and why is fundamental to the understanding and acceptance of this existence. The only ones who'd create it are descendants of humanity. This informs us that we did not go extinct, not all of us. So future humans are simulating our contemporary reality, why? Clearly to explore the opportunity costs of decisions their ancestors took. If we have a simulated existence in an Ancestor Simulation then it won't be to repeat what our descendants did, it will be to enact what they did not do, thus exploring the opportunity cost of their decisions. This is probably bad for us in the Sim today. Remember, surviving descendants of humanity built this sim in our future. They want to explore how things would fair if their ancestors did 'X', and they start with a simple equation; Let X = TRUMP.

  7. Russia is not likely to waste Breeders on the front line. The bigger question is "who are Ruzzia's preferred breeders". I see this exchange as first steps to stop the inbreeding and create a population of frantic Ruzzian hand clappers that run on noodles and cheap vodka

  10. if we were birds. we would be different species based on appearance, habitat, diet, call, nesting arrangements, community, location etc etc etc. But because we are humans, we have to accept we are the same, one big happy family of us, the Ruzzians, the Iranians and the North Koreans. To suggest we are not is likely to incur the wrath of the gods. Here I am, doing a little dance and feeling lighter confident that this is truly some inter species business.

  12. that it would be a fine thing to wedge Russia between North Korea and China - and that - they will sort each other out. North Korea is mad, China does not share, and Russia is one big liability. Stir in a couple of Islamic Theocracies and wait. Dramatic rapid evolutionary process enabled. A more interesting question would be; which side likely learned more?
