  1. how much class did john wayne ever have? how much capacity for diplomacy? could john wayne ever be a statesman in a global sense? This is the problem in dealing with the USA I feel. Every individual seems to be running on some sort of john wayne legacy from the last 60 or so years of Hollywood's inadvertent social engineering. Look at this second amendment bullshit. Of all the societies in the world, this one is too scared to deal with life unarmed. One supposes that old JW went through a hell of a lot of deputies. I'm not so keen to be eating bat rice but i'm also unsure about riding into any scene with John Wayne.
