  1. The Cake of Social Harmony involves following a recipe. The notion that you can just throw any amount of anything in it and get a decent cake is absurd. No amount of shit stirred in is likely to improve the cake. Some ingredients go beautifully together. some do not. Some cultures do not mix well with others. Multiculturalism as it was applied, was a ham fisted disaster. It may have worked if it was done with care and attention to ingredients. Nothing has bred more unrest than the taste of the current social cake.

  2. I think the worst impacts of Multiculturalism come with the social disharmony caused by hostile tribes. City planners have to go to extraordinary lengths to keep the tribes apart. Infrastructure like freeways and bridges, geography like rivers, lakes and hills ; Multiculturalism is a town planning nightmare which was hard enough to get right when the population was relatively homogeneous. I believe that multicultural societies must be taught the National Identity with national service, mandatory. It should be simple enough in the case of the UK (for example) to make national service a condition of citizenship, and citizenship a condition of residency.
