  1. cut to the elephant in the room - why does nuclear energy involve uranium and not thorium, and if it is about Thorium, why is all the good news associated with it, not part of the speel. Logic tells me, it is because the Nuke Industry is into what it can do with uranium and this has dick to do with clean energy.

  2. the reason fingers were splayed in depictions of hands - is 'obviously' to show detail enough to be recognisable as a hand, hands having fingers. It is more likely that floor height of the caves varied over the thousands of years and no one was making scaffolding. Art was probably done at night when people were cave bound and likely bored. I don't see any strange prioritisation of Art above practicality, as you suggest.
