good notion Noel. The standard story is the salt was always in the soil, and a rising water table resulted in these salts being dissolved into the groundwater thus killing the trees. But salt that was 'always there', begs the question 'since when' and 'how did it get there'. I'm with you on this question.

no i disagree; i have seen scientists come to the conclusion that massive limestone rocks of many many tons were thrown up on land, clearing 150m cliffs, by Tsunami along the coasts of the Pilbarra. Rocks from the ocean that don't match the rocks they are sitting on. These rocks the size of a bus were placed in situ by a force that can be explained by Tsunami. ... not disputing circular water flow in waves... but have to account for the rocks.

Please visit the Ravensthorpe Shire in south east western australia. We have geology with the works and a video describing it would be awesome.

tell me more tell me more :) please. Anything to do with W.A.'s geology - I am a sponge for this. thanks so much

how could you just skip by Esperance, the Recherche Archipelago, and The Fitzgerald Coast (!) with its dam interesting geology ( like multi metal mines near the coast)... is it because it does not fit the narrative. Also, I need more help to see the chevrons. A satellite shot without a graphical overlay dynamic and in synch with your narration is wasted on me. I can't see the chevrons ( much ). I subscribe to the tsunami idea however.
