@sasok666 "per capita" and the us has millions more poeple than any other nation you mention. So even though "per capita" seems like a fair measurment, it isnt. How is a large government entity going to negotiate better prices, how is more government intervention going to solve the problem? Its cheaper becaise they arent dumping billions of dollars in aid money, illegals, welfare, and defense... None of the countries you listed deal with the same factors the us deals with, especially not in scale

@TSBrax Right, but everything i sated in my comment was accurate via 2018 spending Federal budget 2018 Medicare- 580 billion medicaid - 390 billion Total - 970 billion SS - 980 billion Total w/SS - 1,950 billion defense 640 billion x2 1,280 ( vs medicare and Medicaid ) x3 1,920 ( vs medicare, Medicaid, and SS ) Im not arguing, im stating we spend more on social services than military. and a military spending increase of 110 billion is a drop in the bucket when compared to trillions in social services
