"The social structure democratic socialists advocate for is a parliament, which naturally includes more than just one party, and that is why it cannot be a totalitarian as opposition is directly involved in every choice."
This sounds like it turns into a uniparty with different badging... kinda like the us two party system, but with more than two parties....
What you actually get in a democratic socialist society is bunch of regulations on how corporations can treat their employees, for instance:
1) Employers have to pay your work related taxes, including health insurance (and since companies want to be competitive they normally provide you with extra health insurance)
taxation is theft, and i shouldnt be forced to have healthcare
3) Employer is forced to pay you more (in cases triple the wage) for extra hours put, night work and so on
Overtime is soclaist? wtf?
Basically what the European socialism is trying to do is to prevent people from being used as modern slaves, as they are in the US.
Yeah, so we can be slaves to a different system doing the same thing with a different flavor on it? cmon now
I'll leave you with this video so you understand what people mean by socialism (and what it actually is), despite how absurdly misinterpreted the US people understand it:
i tried, stopped listening at " the electoral college is silly"

"you basically dislike both socialism and capitalism alike, and are just writing for the sake of having an argument."
No im just pretty sure we disagree on terms. Me, wanting to be able to sell the fruits of my labor for profit is considered capitalism to myself, would you disagree with this assessment?
"Also don't say shit like "never work", because these policies exist in whole of Europe and Canada, and since all of these "socialist" countries rank higher than the US in almost all welfare categories, you don't get to say "it never works", because it does work."
Yeah yeah heard it all before, lies damned lies and statistics. no one ever leaves socialized health are nations to non socialized healthcare nations for medical care. This also ignores all the public funding dumped into the medical industry in the first place, and it doesnt even address the problems with healthcare in the first place " spoiler, its government involvement"

"You know I've been working with Americans for almost 8 years now, I've talked with them on various things... One of them had to get a hip replacement, and even when insured in the US, it costs 2 times as much as the same thing without insurance in Germany, and Germany is one of the most expensive in Europe"
Again, WHY does it cost so much? WHY is the part you are ignoring here. the government is WHY its so expensive for the same reason the insurance companies want it to be expensive. The same reason hospitals want it expensive... because its all corrupt. simply expanding on whats already here isnt going to fix the problem...
"Sure, US spends the most money on healthcare in the world and is like 40% more than the 2nd highest, yet everything in the US is still more expensive, because hospitals work as corporate entities (for profit organizations) and not as a humanitarian ones. The problem with the US is not that they are not putting enough money into healthcare, it's because they are treating sick people as customers that buy their health."
Because the government profits from this, because insurance companies profit from this, because drug companies profit from this... This also doesn't address the fact that there are other non medical related expense differences between nations that also effect it.
"You are not disagreeing with a term, you are trying to change it."
No i asked you if me wanting to profit from my own hard work and labor is capitalism and you didnt answer it
"What i gave you was the definition of socialism.... in turn you provided me with the definition of totalitarianism :D"
communism is the end goal of socialism. You want more government regulation, laws, and enforcement, well those all come down at the barrel of a gun. I dont want more government, because that is just playing into the problem reaction solution that these very entities you claim are so terrible want.

"capitalism caters to the entrepreneurs"
This is a good thing, self employed and small businesses are the backbone to a functioning economy
"and is making the rich - richer and the poor - poorer"
That would be the government taxing and regulating the little guy into oblivion while pandering to the rich multinational global elites
"Unless you are a business owner you do not benefit from capitalism yourself"
Small business is essential, and if more people could start their own businesses the better, but in order to do that, you have to bend to the will of the state, and pay the state fees to do things. almost like they are in the way of the little guy making it in the economy .. hmmm im beginning to notice a trend here
"a social system will award you more for your labor, and than again no one is advocating about abolishing the private sector, just to have regulations that do not permit them to treat employees as slaves."
But those rules dont matter because people break them anyway, also while importing millions of workers via immigration or visa work while simultaneously destroying small business and the self employed...
"The political system is a ideology, it doesn't have an end goal and with a strong opposition present in parliaments - it can't even turn into communism as it still remain democratic"
No. it will continue to grow and expand, as this is how all governments inevitably end up with people clamoring for the government to keep doing more to interfere with the country and the economy...
the answer is not more government, its less government and less taxes...

"you somehow think I believe that a fully socialist country would be better off, which is not what I am referring to - that is indeed bound to implode like it has in every country that tries it"
never said that, all i said/implied was socialism leads to more socialism, then eventually to communistic authoritarianism
What I advocate for is that some social policies are better than the alternative
Ok, but social programs are not "socialism"
"For instance I do not think healthcare should be a for profit business"
Ok, but how does get paid for working as a doctor? The problems with healthcare arent because its a for profit industry ( anything would need to be " for profit" or it wouldnt survive at all" its that corruption, government interference, and lobbying create the scenarios where the regulators, the insurance agencies, and the hospitals make billions of dollars while destroying healthcare. Making the government ( taxpayer) pay for more of it will only exacerbate the problems, just like the government ruined college education finances... more government and more tax dollars arent going to fix these issues
"And there should be a limit on how businesses can treat their employees to avoid modern slavery"
why do you keep implying like there is no regulations or labor laws in the US? All of the suggestions you made already exist in varying forms in the country, your just saying the government needs to do more.
"govt should not be controlling the market"
Right, and giving governments more power and money will NEVER solve ANY problem..
