I wish they'd put the emergency horn on the rim of the steering wheel so I could actually use it in an emergency. If there's an impending accident that requires split second reaction, why the hell would I take a hand off of the wheel to hit the horn button?

So if your friends could only land 1ms one in 500 times, why even bother rigging it? It's not like the basketball game has to close the hoop 29/30 times- there are fairer ways to prevent winning than simply using random chance.

Cows are so expensive! So upcharge for plant patty. Yeah, I know there are economies of scale in place, but if cows are really as efficient as they say it shouldn't be so hard to undercut the meat prices even with decreased efficiency. An associated point. I often eat burgers because they're the cheapest good thing on a menu. If the $2-to-make pasta was priced with less upcharge maybe I'd buy it. I'm not one for salads personally, but when you charge $12 for a burger and $14 for a salad, how am I supposed to even be tempted?

You're actually supposed to go downwind with the obvious fan trap.

"and we'll be better off as a global community having gone through this" Maybe. If we knew for sure that government really had everyone's best interest in mind, it'd be fairly easy to shut down for a couple weeks if you didn't have travel plans or god-forbid a wedding planned. But with the greatly improved preparations against future outbreaks we're also going to have vestigial crap that should be immediately pruned back, and some of it never will be. Tendrils of government move ever onward. Did these lockdowns work out for you? They should. But while we're mostly stuck indoors for a few weeks, let's be considering the best, least response possible. Was government complacent? Yes. Did it overreact? Yes. It's both. Instead of a properly measured response to the infection, we got nothing, and then sepsis. Let's figure out how to do better.
