  1. Well, it's not like they didn't drag the whole Red John thing out too long anyway (Series was at it's best at strawberries and cream, season 3 finale). Once they killed him off they were pretty much looking to wind the series down to a finish. Considering how many shows get cut before they can even conclude- or at best, try to wrap everything up super fast, it's kind of nice that they could finish the main conflict and then wrap things up a little more nicely over a couple half seasons.

  2. Peter Jones To what? The list has Dexter. The Blacklist is all about the FBI taking down criminals. What makes the show intriguing is the moral complexity and maybe ulterior motives of manipulative Reddington, but on a week to week basis, the show basically comes down to Reddington tipping off the FBI about a criminal, who the FBI catch or kill with help, generally behind the scenes, from Reddington.
