Already lost credibility by saying Clash of Clans. It has lots of problems... but paying money tends to just speed stuff up. It makes your base stronger, allowing you to be matched with stronger bases... but it heavily penalizing attacks on weaker bases. So...it basically just gets you to a higher tier, and you still have to be able to win at that tier. And it has a matchmaking issue at the highest level where it pretty much fails to give you matches very fast anyway, so even paying to attack more often up there isn't really doing much. A truly terrible pay to win game lets you beat the crap out of other players who didn't pay, pretty much despite differences in skill and whatnot. It matches you with equal level opponents but ignores the power bonus provided to the pay to win player in matchmaking.
