  1. Being slow in the road will piss people off. It's just that simple. But whereas being behind say a backhoe on a 1 lane each direction mountain highway might piss people off- it will be blamed on bad luck or similar. Unless it passes a turnout it can reasonably use and doesn't. A cyclist, who can usually get out of the way, whenever, will pretty much immediately be blamed. Again, it's not about cyclists at all. It's about being in the way and your ability to get out of being in the way.
