Thank you for a very interesting summary. What I noticed in Ukraine in 1995 was that there was a distrust against Russia erupting at times. I did not have the impression that this had anything to do with western influence, rather with a history that had not been acknowledged.

Yes, and this was also visible before the invasion. President Zelensky wanted to talk to Putin, but Putin only wanted to talk to Biden. Showing the same attitude of superiority versus Ukraine. Ukrainians are sick and tired of that attitude, coming from more russians than their president.
