  1. I remember we couldn’t get russian television on our channels anymore, and it was explained that it was because something was off. I did not really get it, before the big attack on Ukraine. I am looking forward to more in depth explanation.

  3. In Russian there is this same word for 'peace' and 'world'. So it seems russians confuse these concepts. This is extremely foreign to people from other language backgrounds. I think this is necessary to understand.

  6. As a former student of Russian Language and Literature, I got the impression that ukrainian was somewhat less valuable. Having experienced that, and having been influenced by that, I know that this is extremely important. Even with my interest in music, I could not name a single Ukrainian composer or musician.

  9.  @SiliconCurtain  yes, I know. Lots of talented people were killed or died in other ways. My point is that in the classical Russian culture there are few examples of non-gentry talents. There was a great divide among people, and it seems to me that some of it was not healthy. Ukrainians were more on the sane level, although some were richer, some had less.

Not escalating the submarine tragedy of "Kursk" and the refusal of assistance from western marines is just one example. -OK, they keep us out for the sake of military secrets. The russian marines were allowed to rent å place on Crimea in order to have time to relocate. They used it as a foothold and bombed Mariupol to pieces. Before 2022 and the big invasion, the russians were invited to observe NATO excercises.
