  2. In Russian there is this same word for 'peace' and 'world'. So it seems russians confuse these concepts. This is extremely foreign to people from other language backgrounds. I think this is necessary to understand.

  3. The current russian TV stars are obvious bullies. Same expressions as school bullies. How come they are even accepted?

  4. I am thinking of the deep impact of gentry on russian culture..almost all the famous literature comes from people of the gentry class.

  5.  @SiliconCurtain  yes, I know. Lots of talented people were killed or died in other ways. My point is that in the classical Russian culture there are few examples of non-gentry talents. There was a great divide among people, and it seems to me that some of it was not healthy. Ukrainians were more on the sane level, although some were richer, some had less.
