  2. Having been a student of Russian, a believer in peace and love, it took me some time to sort out what was going on. I also remember sitting on the beach by the Black Sea in 1995 talking about the Budapest Memorandum. Yes, we thought it would be on the pathway to world peace, and that Ukraine could lean on the assuring promises from the US, Russia, Great Britain, China, and France. We could see Crimea at a distance. I was worried about the russian marines being granted allowance to stay there, in order to prepair new arrangements for the marine. I was increasingly worried when the arrangement was prolonged. After the destruction of Mariupol, I have no doubt, that Crimea has to be connected to Ukraine. The understanding of russian defence needs was not reciprocated. I knew who the aggressor was when I read comments stating that «Ukraine does not exist».
