Bureaucratic, tired bureaucratic word salad. I think it is quite common. As a prosecutor, I believe that she must have been clear in her wordings. Writing or speaking when unfocused is not advisable in public..

An 11-year old that wants to experiment? .

That may just be realistic, and a very appropriate part of a dialogue or getting to know each other to start with.

John was a real catch of his generation. He was a disastrous choice for Carolyn. Thanks for deepening of our understanding of the varied aspects.

Why did you call him the «president»?

Unconditional love does not mean that you would step up to hide someone's crimes. It might mean compassion for someone going through the consequences. I would think Roberta was jealous of Gabby. Using the Bible quote is almost making herself god to Brian. I did not like it. I do not know about the trial.

Empathy would be good.

Je suis Charlie Hebdo.. The sake of free speech, including satire. Christians do not have active terrorists, so the sake of parodic imagery, was not that risky

It seems to me that «everyone» is grooming their eyebrows nowadays. It’s in vogue. So determining from eyebrows is like thinking that every girl in a mini skirt is a hooker. When it is modern, you cannot make that distinction, because it is the norm.

I think that acting ability is about responding in a visible way to made up reality. The same ability to convey emotional messages also applies to real life. It is not about disguising.

What did he get from his parents? Genetic disposition? What he witnessed? The lack of continuity and empathic stability in early close relationships stand out to me.

Baggage. You made that clear. Dysfunctional families do have their scapegoats. Her distancing makes sense, and as you point out, more will be needed in order to create a healthy psychological distance. Playing the victim and being one. The two may have a blurred boundary.

Very US-centric to say that HE had ruled NATO.. what did he mean by that?

I got a bit too comfortable.

I watched someone say that since they go by motorbikes that they risk dying anyway.

Thank you. Legal insanity, and the ability to discern right from wrong, are two different things, and that is important, as you exemplify. I guess he would have filled the criteria of antisocial behavior in the least.

Denial: My child is not malnourished. (It threatens my self image of feeding my child adequately) Doctor puts up prescription for vitamins and minerals.. Mom applies it and child gets healthy. She accepts reality when getting the facts of blood tests and adequate responses to the situation.

The negative approach: The prophet Nathan and King David. Of course it worked because of King David's sense of fairness.

Why would the editor allow that article to be published? Was the purpose to expose Dr. Epstein.

Mental health issues would make him look guilty. I think that was a good one. He could appear guilty, without being guilty. The song Billie Jean is at least about scheming. .. Being afraid of sleeping alone is another possible explanation, perhaps for both parties. The mothers seemed a bit like wannabes by proxy, leaving their sons like that.

The term «goodness of fit» comes to mind. He would have needed a stable environment, suited for his needs.

Brian has been described as very introverted. Going away into hiding when all the world is eager to know everything, then seems like a natural thing to do. I guess this is an alternative view of his disappearance. His parents also may have been what we call over protective because of odd reactions on his part. This is a type of dynamic in families with a mentally ill child. Nothing of this rules out his possible involvement in Gabby’s death. Things would appear more normal if he chose to present himself.

Makes me think of one of Rain’s prominent editors who initially hired Solovyev,. Now Solovyev is the chief propagandist of Russian television. Perhaps some similar development went on with him. The Rain editor says it is her greatest regret, that she introduced that man to television.

Thinking about the flying monkey. I am not sure people are manipulated into becoming flying monkeys as much as they are satisfying some kind of need to be special, and to mean something. And the excitement of the chase.plass a role.

Ugh, those spilling corrections! E!

Tunnel vision, seems to affect us humans at times. Competition can cause it. Is it so that most people can control themselves when they are at high speed inside such a tunnel? Addiction, suicide.. are other examples of tunnel vision. Do you have to be easygoing and un-ambitious in order to avoid it?

I once read on psychiatry on crime by Berthold Grünfeld or Ingvald Nissen, I think. He meant that loss of memory was common in criminals concerning their criminal actions. That is another way to put the alleged memory loss. I guess that aligns with freudian theory about repression of shameful memories.

Seeing this now, I wonder if there would be some follow-up, now that we have a lot more experience with it.

The other two front figures of Russian Television, Solovyov and Skabeyeva look like the mean kids harrassing their classmates at school. Margarita Simonyan puzzles me more. What do you make of her?

Thanks for your analyses. Maybe, let's see. Changing your ways is not easy. I keep wondering about Ruby's childhood. My guess is that she was a pretty unruly adventurous kid, and that she was punished harshly, also mentally, for "ungodly" playfulness. Thus an extreme example of how not to shape å child. By twisting her nature, she was taught that heartless discipline would create a hoped for outcome. . Her siblings fit more easily into the ideal model child, and was not as severely punished, and did not react with such destructive behavior.

Having been the recipient of narcissstic rage recently... I was a bit insistert on getting an agreed appointment done. Motlys because it would make my life easier to organize. I was called up and was given the rageful feedback that I was exoding an energy og suspicion. Well, I knew by myself that I was not suspecting anything wrong, I was just impatient. I guess I only need to assure myself .. I do think the rageful person was right about my stressing him, though. Keeping my own version of what happened , I guess is important. I found it all really unsettling. And actually, the job I was supposed to take over from him was not a good choice for me, so I got myself off the hook at that point. I am still a bit on alert about further development.

I hope it is readable. Spell correction is doing tricks with my words and they come out wrong.

You are right: Pay attention to the warning signs, but that may not be enough alone. .. I noticed to his engagement photo he called this relationship "a dream". His behavior after coming home, going camping etc. seems to indicate that he has woken up and is back to normal family life. Then it dawns on him that something is wrong and he chooses to solve it in an introverted way by seeking solace in his favorite outdoor place.

While I realize that not all people are good, what I keep wondering is how do we sort out bad behavior from personal pathology that won’t change except for to a degree that will crave a life long maintenance program? And what to do about people who judge others to be narcissistic when they just stick out for some cause or something they are excited about?
1
@romarobbins270 that is a very sad conclusion. How others respond are their responsibility.
