  1. You gave a lot of nuance. Deep emotional connection, whether it be a therapist, a counselor has always been valued, I think. Old people had some of that role in previous days, but they did not have research to back up what they said, only life experience and tradition, somehow. Bashing a whole field of work makes me sceptical. You might have thoughts about what it is and what it is not, is something more valid. A musician I know, says that music is the best there is. I myself, am into music, but I do see that we have different roles that may enhance society as a whole.
