@Cardinal_claw That's not how that works. When someone is found not guilty, it doesn't mean they're proven innocent. It means they're not proven guilty. The burden of proof is on the accuser in a criminal trial. However, in a defamation case, the burden of proof is on the plaintiff to prove that what the defendant said wasn't true. So, someone could be found not guilty, but the accuser could still be found not liable for defamation.
