  2. No, they can't force shareholders to sell their shares. Unless someone wants to take the company private and most shareholders vote for it.

  3. ​ @TheInternetEnzyme Yes, obviously. How it works is, whoever is selling stock when the buyback takes place sells it to the highest bidder, which is usually the company.
