As an international American I am rather annoyed with our insistence on doing everything differently. It is exsaughsting! I've gone to just writing the month abriviation rather than number to avoid condition.

It sounds weird when you say mom, it does not fit your accent. In American but I say mum and dad. My kids say mum (or muma when they are small) and baba.
