The problem was, nobody wants stay long in a crusade, since kings,princes and Noble's had to deal problem in there own homeland, there are only few crusaders that wants to stay, most of them, where there to fight and go home

@RayB1656 yeah, your right the french at that time where using crossbow and more easy to use than the longbow and you can train more crossbowmens than longbowmens even during the Imjin War the Koreans and the Chinese would even use bows against the Japanese muskets and cannons where actually good during the Hundred Year's War but yeah all weapons and armors where good, it's just you have to use them properly
